View SRDF/Metro Smart DR environments

SRDF/Metro Smart DR is a two-region high available (HA) disaster recovery (DR) solution. It integrates SRDF/Metro and SRDF/A enabling HA DR for a Metro session.

Prerequisites

  • The storage system must be running PowerMaxOS 5978 Q3 2020 or later.

About this task

To view a list of smart DR environments:

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Data Protection > MetroDR to display the MetroDR Environments list view.
    Alternatively, select Storage > Storage Groups, click a storage group that SRDF/Metro protects, and click the number next to MetroDR Environment in the detail view of the selected storage group.

    The following properties display in the list view:

    • Environment Name—The smart DR environment name
    • Capacity (GB)—Capacity (in GB) of all devices in the smart DR environment on the storage system specified
    • Environment Status—The status of the smart DR environment
    • Metro Status—Status of Metro
    • DR Status—Status of DR
  3. Select a smart DR environment to view its details.

    The following properties display in the details view:

    • Environment Name—The smart DR environment name
    • Environment State—The state of the smart DR environment
    • Exempt Volumes—Indication that there are exempt devices in the environment.
    • Capacity (GB)—Capacity (in GB) of the local devices in the smart DR environment
    • Metro R1 Array—The metro R1 array
    • Metro State—The pair states of the metro session
    • Metro Service State—The HA state of the metro session
    • Metro % Done—Percentage synchronized in metro session (when states are applicable) - this value is replaced with a dash when it reaches 100 or is 0.
    • DR State—The pair states of the DR session
    • DR Service State—The HA state of the DR session
    • Metro R2 Array—The metro R2 array
    • DR Mode—The DR mode
    • DR % Done—Percentage synchronized in DR session (when states are applicable) - this value is replaced with a dash when it reaches 100 or is 0.
    • DR Array—The DR array
    • Metro R1 Storage Groups—The corresponding storage groups on the Metro R1 array for the environment
    • Metro R2 Storage Groups—The corresponding storage groups on the Metro R2 array for the environment
    • DR Storage Groups—The corresponding storage groups on the DR array for the environment

    Click View All Details to go to the MetroDR Environment Details view.
